Pavel Zítek has been a full Professor of Technical Cybernetics at the Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU) since 1989. 1990-1997 the head of the Department of Automatic Control, 1998-2005 the head of the Dept. of Instrumentation and Control Eng. Born in Prague 1939 he received his Mechanical Engineering Diploma from the Faculty of Mechanical Eng. at CTU and at the same university he received the first doctoral degree (CSc.) with the dissertation on limit operators of distributed systems (1968) and the second doctoral degree (DrSc.) with the dissertation on the so-called anisochronic state models of time delay systems (1987). Assistant Professor habilitation in 1977. He is a head of the Mechanical Engineering Group of the Centre for Applied Cybernetics.
