The Center of Applied Cybernetics (CAK) is a research institution founded by the Czech Government in 2000. It associates research teams from several Czech universities under the coordination of the Czech Technical University in Prague. The main research activities of CAK are focused on the following problem areas represented by the four CAK Divisions: Automatic Control, Artificial Intelligence, Control Systems and Computer Vision. Currently, CAK, headed by the former president of International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC) Prof. Vladimír Kučera, is the most significant research institution in the problem area of control and information systems in the Czech Republic.
